ViewPhoto.TV is the world's easiest way to display photos on any modern screen. Here's everything you need to know - from cross‑platform compatibility to privacy, performance and real‑time photo sharing.
What is ViewPhoto.TV?
ViewPhoto.TV is a free cross-platform instant photo viewing platform designed for safely displaying
photos on any modern screen. Unlike screen mirroring, it never shares your phone screen. Unlike cloud
storage, it doesn't require accounts or synchronization. Unlike messengers, it is built specifically
for viewing photos together.
Is ViewPhoto.TV really free?
Yes. The core functionality is free and requires no registration.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Everything works directly in your browser - both on the screen and on your phone.
Can I install ViewPhoto.TV as an app (PWA)?
Yes, if you'd like one‑tap access. ViewPhoto.TV is a Progressive Web App (PWA), so you can install it
straight from app.viewphoto.tv — no app store needed. On iPhone
or iPad, open the site in Safari, tap the Share button, then “Add to Home Screen”. On Android, open it
in Chrome, tap the ⋮ menu, then “Install app”. On desktop Chrome or Edge, click the install icon in the
address bar. The installed app opens full‑screen and works like a native app — still with no account
required. Installing is completely optional: everything works in the browser without it.
Do viewers need to install an app?
No. Visitors simply scan the QR code, the browser opens automatically, and they can immediately upload
or view photos.
Do I need an account?
No accounts, no passwords, no sign‑in.

You need an internet connection to create and join a session.
Is ViewPhoto.TV safe for kids?

Yes. Works on Samsung, Pixel, Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, OnePlus, and others.
Does ViewPhoto.TV support Chromecast or AirPlay?
You don’t need them. The service works directly in the browser.
How many photos can I share?
As many as you want during the session.
Can multiple people upload photos to the same session?
Yes. ViewPhoto.TV supports collaborative sessions. Simply display the session QR code — anyone can
scan it and instantly upload photos from their own phone. Everyone joins the same viewing session,
each participant uploads directly from their device, and the slideshow updates automatically. No
accounts, no registration, no messaging apps, and no practical limit to the number of participants.
Perfect for family events, birthdays, weddings, vacations, classrooms and business presentations.
What happens if I close the browser on the TV?
The session ends immediately and all photos are deleted.
Can I delete photos manually?
Yes. The host can clear all photos at any time.
Can I control the slideshow from my phone?
Yes. You can switch photos and start/stop slideshow directly from your phone.
Can I use ViewPhoto.TV at events (weddings, parties, conferences)?
Yes. This is one of the most popular use cases.
Can I password‑protect a session?
This feature is planned for a future update.
Where are my photos stored?
Photos are stored temporarily on Cloudflare servers only for the duration of your session.
Default session lifetime: 180 minutes.
When the session ends - manually or automatically - all photos are deleted.
Does Cloudflare analyze or use my photos?
No. Cloudflare acts only as a temporary transport layer.
Photos are not analyzed, indexed, or used for training.
Do you compress or modify my photos?
Each photo is automatically resized to the display resolution and converted to the efficient WebP
format before transfer. This dramatically reduces file size and mobile data usage while preserving
excellent visual quality on TVs, computers and projectors.
What exactly appears on the screen?
Only the photos you intentionally selected. Unlike screen mirroring, your notifications, messages,
banking apps, incoming calls and private gallery never appear on screen.
Do you collect personal data?
No. We do not collect names, emails, phone numbers, or identifiers.
Do you use cookies?
Only for UI preferences (e.g., dark mode). No tracking cookies.
Is the QR code secure?
Yes. It contains only a temporary session ID and expires automatically.
Does ViewPhoto.TV use a lot of mobile data?
No. ViewPhoto.TV automatically optimizes every uploaded image before transfer. Photos are resized to
the required display resolution and converted into the efficient WebP format. As a result, a typical
photo originally sized 3–8 MB is often reduced to only 150–300 KB — cutting transferred data
by roughly 70–80% while preserving excellent visual quality on TVs, computers and projectors.
What does this optimization mean for me?
Faster uploads, faster slideshows, significantly lower mobile data usage, and smoother viewing even on
slower internet connections.
Will optimization reduce the quality of my photos?
No. Images are prepared specifically for the display resolution, so they look sharp on TVs, computers
and projectors while transferring far less data.
Does ViewPhoto.TV support videos?
Not yet. Video support is planned.
Can I use multiple screens at once?
Yes. You can open the same session on multiple screens.
Is there a time limit for sessions?
Yes. Sessions expire after a period of inactivity (default 180 minutes).
Does it work in offline mode?
No. Internet is required for real‑time syncing.
Does the Android app collect data?
No. We do not collect personal data.
Does the app request permissions?
Only camera access for QR scanning (browser‑based).
How are payments handled?
If premium features are available, payments are processed by Google Play Billing.
