Smart TVs
Open the viewer in your television’s web browser. Samsung, LG, Android TV and Google TV devices can differ in browser availability, memory and software support. A brand name alone does not confirm compatibility. Test the actual device before relying on it for an event.
Computers and tablets
A laptop or desktop can serve as the main viewing screen. Tablets can also provide a shared display when their browser supports the viewer. Keep the browser open and make sure the device does not go to sleep during your session.
iPhone and Android phones
Your phone joins by scanning the session QR code and selects photos through its browser. The site does not require you to mirror your phone or grant the television access to your entire library. Available file-picker sources vary by operating system and browser.
Projectors and meeting-room displays
A projector without a browser cannot open the website itself. Connect it to a computer and run ViewPhoto.TV in that computer’s browser. The phone then joins the same viewing session using the QR shown on the projected display.
Different internet connections
Local Wi-Fi pairing is not part of the workflow. Your phone may use mobile data while the screen uses another network. Both still need working internet access, and a captive portal or restricted guest network can prevent the service from loading.
A quick compatibility check
Open the viewer, create a session and upload one local photo. Confirm that the image appears and can be opened at the size you need. For shared venues, check network access and screen controls before guests arrive. Contact support@viewphoto.tv with your device model and browser if you need help.
Questions, answered.
Does it work on every Smart TV?
The TV needs a browser that can run the viewer and an internet connection. Browser capabilities vary by model and software version. Try the viewer on the intended screen before a gathering.
Does my phone need to use the same Wi-Fi as the TV?
The service uses an online session rather than local screen pairing. Both devices need an internet connection; they do not need to share the same Wi-Fi network.
Do I need to install an app or create an account?
No account or app-store download is needed for browser viewing. You can optionally add the web app to your home screen if your browser supports installation.
